OUR HISTORY

"...† I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly. St. John 10:10"

Motto:

The Whole Church, Giving The Whole Gospel To The Whole World.

Bishop WilliamsThe Abundant Life Ministries International was founded through divine direction, on January 8th, 2001 under the leadership of Pastor C. Alexander Williams III & Lady Chiquita Williams.

Our first Worship Service was held on Sunday - January 14, 2001 at the Masonic Lodge Building, Airport Road, Providenciales. There was an overwhelming presence of the Lord as over 250 Worshippers gathered to give thanks and celebrate this historical occasion. At the end of that service 98 persons pledged themselves as members of the Ministry.

The opportunities for worship were Sunday 10:45am and 7:00pm.However due to the limited space to accommodate Worshippers and in keeping with our motto “The Whole Church, Giving the whole Gospel to the whole world”, a 7:45am Sunday Worship Service was added to the existing Service schedule of services.

† Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father…….Matt 28:19 A New Believers class was established late January 2001 to prepare new converts and other candidates for baptism. This led to the first Water Baptismal Service being held a few months later on April 13th 2001.

Bishop williams† Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he shall not depart from it….Proverbs 22:6 The Whole Gospel Christian Academy a subsidiary of The Abundant Life Ministries International was established in February 2001 under the motto “Educating This Generation And The Next For The Work Of The Lord”. There is currently a student body of two hundred and nine (209) with eighteen (18) persons on staff.

Our very first Back To The Bible Conference was held March 5th – 9th 2001 under the Theme “A Radical church In a Changing World”. Guest Speakers were Bishop Neil Ellis of Mount Tabor Full Gospel Church in Nassau Bahamas and Bishop Carlos Malone of Full Gospel Baptist church in Miami Florida.

On Friday – June 1, 2001 Pastor C. A. Williams III moved to another level in the body of Christ when he was ordained to the consecrated office of Bishop. The “Act of Ordination” was performed by Bishop Carlos Malone of Full Gospel Bethel Baptist Church, Miami Florida, & Bishop Washington Williams of New Canaan Baptist Church – Freeport Bahamas.

The Commissioning of The Abundant Life Ministries International was held on Sunday, June 3rd 2001.

Abundant Life MinistriesIn July 2001, as per the “Divine Vision” to build a city for the Lord, Bishop C. A. Williams III and the members of ALMI began marching from the Worship Center from the Airport Road to the parcel of land on the Leeward Highway that was being sought after to purchase. This was done for seven mornings, from 6:00am – 7:00am. On the seventh morning the property was marched around seven times, as it was claimed for the abode of “Christian City."

On August 1st 2001, the very same property – 2.5 acres, that was claimed, was purchased by way of a loan from Provident Limited. Construction began September 10, 2001. The ministry could not afford a construction company, therefore, monies, materials and labor were donated by Members, Followers, Well Wishers and various Organizations around the Turks & Caicos Islands.

The Executive Board, governing the church was formed in October, 2001 and comprises twelve (12) members, namely: Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Director, Youth Minister, New Believers Minister, Men’s Ministry Minister, Christian Education Minister, Director – Women’s Ministry, Minister of Music, Director – Usher Department and Minister of Evangelism & Chairman of the Trustee Board.

Abundant Life MinistriesALMI first anniversary was celebrated on January 14th 2002 with an empowering summit – “Living the Abundant Life”. Guest speakers were Bishop V. G. Clarke of Calvary Deliverance Ministries and Minister Zendal Carey. The Summit was originally designed for the members of ALMI. However, upon hearing the move of God in that Summit, members of the community wanted to experience what God was doing amongst ALMI family. Bishop Williams opened the Summit doors to the general public so that this country could be further empowered.

The years 2002 and 2003 was a time of great struggle, testing of faith, sacrifices, and hard labor for The Abundant Life Ministry's Family as all energies were centered around the construction of the Chapel and Diplomat Centre. Yet during those turbulent years, faith in God and in the Vision” remained alive, continuously activated as each stage of the construction was completed. During that time, in an act of faith the congregation moved from the Masonic Lodge Building on the airport Road to Christian City and commenced worship services there even though the Building was yet without a roof, windows or doors. It was a Sunday morning when we were without roof that the rain came down heavily. The presence of the Lord was so strong in the building that worshippers sat in the rain worshipping God as Bishop Williams ministered the word of God.

Abundant Life MinistriesThis Is The Year We Win; This Is The Year We End Strong! January 2004 was ushered in with this declaration of faith and in preparation for this glorious victory, a seminar was held later that month under the theme…. “The Purpose Driven Life”.

The months following leading up to June could only be described as “Hard Work, Faith and Anticipation”. But on 6th June, 2004 the dedication of the Chapel took place at 3.00 pm. Persons came with anticipation and excitement as the Chapel and the overflow was filled to capacity. The Guest Speaker for this historical event was Rev Timothy Steward of Bethel Baptist Church in Nassau Bahamas and the Guest Artist was Minister Simeon Outten of the CD Freedom. The Spirit of God rose up in the building and a spirit of giving overflow the air as pastors and well wishes pledged and made contributions towards the work of God.

History was established on September, 2005 when Whole Gospel Christian Academy extended it arms to a Junior High School adding grades seven and eight. The school is seeing tremendous growth and many are catching the vision of Christian Education. The extension started out with 6 teacher and 12 children, a secretary and a principal. In October, 2005, Whole Gospel Christian Academy moved from rented facility to its own premises just opposite Christian City with plans for completion to be operational by the end of 2006.

We came into 2005 with the Theme “The Church of Jesus Christ Coming Alive in 2005.

Abundant Life MinistriesIn March of 2005 we celebrated our fourth back to the Bible conference in which the ministry took to another level. Guest speakers were Bishop Carlos Malone, Pastor Helen McPhee and Co-Pastor Darlene Bishop of Monroe, Ohio. Guest artists were Vickie Winans and Simeon Outten. This conference was the first of its kind for our country and God has shown his faithfulness and favour to this people.

History was again made when 10 persons surrounded themselves to baptism which was held at the baptismal pool in the Chapel yard.

In 2005 work began on the roof of the Chapel and Diplomat Centre. Even the workers were excited and it took about a week to have the rafters up.

After several months of tedious work on the roof the Diplomat Centre is now completed and on August 14, 2006 the Administration Office moved its office from rental facility to the Diplomat Centre.

God has always demonstrated in and among this congregation that he has “chosen it” and purposed it for the deliverance of this Nation.

Bishop C. Alexander Williams’ belief is to cater to the whole man and through this calling God has blessed this Ministry with many gifts and callings, and so we are a multifaceted ministry being build and prepared to cater and function in what the Master desires us to do as the Kingdom marches on.

To God be All the Glory and The Praise.

VISION STATEMENT

To know our vision is to understand it.
To live our vision is to believe in it.
To personalize our vision is to act on it.

The mandate of The Abundant Life Ministries International is to have an impact spiritually and morally on our cities by offering our communities, first and foremost, honesty and integrity in ministry.

Our vision is to be a fellowship of maturing Christians, whose learning results in responsible living and to be witnesses for Christ, both in our communities and abroad.

We will establish a family church that will serve as a bible teaching center to believer’s for service and living the abundant life. We have chosen three ways to facilitate this vision and to launch this into operation:

    1. Mission Ministry
The supreme task of the church is to reach those who have little or no chance to hear the gospel. Feeding the poor in spirit, soul and body.
      • to establish a mission in Haiti.
      • to establish a mission here in Providenciales to cater to the nationals from the Philippians.
    2. Evangelistic Ministry
God uses the evangelic ministry to confront the two most basic human needs, salvation and healing. Yet every believer is called to do the work of an evangelist.

There will be proclamation of the gospel, spiritual transformation, setting people free from bondage to the devil in demonic power and prayer for the sick and oppressed.

In addition to our Sunday morning service to have evangelistic meeting through out the Turks & Caicos Islands.
  1. Pastoral Teaching Ministry
The New Testament depicts the Pastor as the one who is to feed, protect, guide and strengthen the local assembly with sound teaching equipping them for the ministry.

God has made provision through Christ that covers the entire spectrum of human existence. He has given us the responsibility to do something about the lost souls of the earth. This mandate will be fulfilled upon the achievement of our future goals.

      1. Christian City
          • Providenciales
The Abundant Life Ministries will expand from it’s setting to become a large, glorious sanctuary to accommodate the harvest of souls that God is sending us.

          • Diplomat Center
This building is designed to minister to our overseas guest, conference, and our day to day operation.

          • Full Family Service Center
Special programs facilitated on the grounds of Christian city designed to combat the social problems of our day. To minister to our young people and to facilitate special family programs as needed.
      2. Covenant Keepers (Rehabilitation Center)
Seeking to cater to our men and women who have turned to crime through rehabilitation and return them to work and live in our community as good citizens and Godly Men and Women.

      1. Abundant Life Resort & Spa
Providenciales of one of the main tourist destinations in the world, so Abundant Life Resort & Spa seeks to cater to our guests that frequently visit this country, looking for enjoyment, relaxation and healing. This nation is referred to as a Christian Nation, but there is no Christian hotel, resorts or retreats centers here. Our responsibility is to proclaim the gospel and see spiritual transformation as we also provide accommodation to our brothers and sisters from around the world.

    1. School of Ministry
To design a special program to train and equip men and women who have been called to the ministry.

THE CHURCH COVENANT

Having been led, we believe by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour and, on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we do now in the presence of God and this assembly most solemnly and joyfully enter in this Covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

Abundant Life MinistriesWe engage therefore by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of his Church in knowledge, holiness and comfort, to promote its prosperity and spirituality, to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrine, to contribute cheerfully and regularly to support of the ministry, the expenses of the Church, the relief of the poor and spread of the gospel through all nations.

We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions, to religiously educate our children, to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintance, to walk circumspectly in the world, to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagement and exemplary in our department, to abstain from the sale of and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage, to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Saviour.

We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love, to remember one another in prayer, to aid one another in sickness and distress, to cultivate Christian sympathy in feelings and Christian courtesy in speech, to be slow to take offense but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Saviour to secure it without delay.

We moreover engage that when we remove from this place we will and soon as possible unite with some other church where we can carry out the Spirit of this Covenant and the principles of God’s word.
